Most teenagers are looking for the love of their life in high school. These teenagers find relationships that are "perfect" and believe they truly love each other. Some of these couples will last, others won't. One successful high school relationship is Cory and Topanga's from Boy Meets World. These two fall in love when they're young and the world doubts their relationship in every way. Cory and Topanga prove these critics wrong by loving and caring for each other every day. Cory and Topanga conquer many challenges from cheating, to uncertainty, to graduating high school and moving onto college. This relationship provides an example for teenagers and college students showing how two people work together to overcome obstacles in a relationship. Cory and Topanga also pose as an example for teens and young adults as Topanga wants to wait until marriage to have sex. Cory often makes jokes about wanting to get Topanga's "goodies" but she makes him wait until they are married. High school relationships often lead to sex, at age 15 only 13% of teens have had sexual intercourse, once kids reach 19 it is said that seven in ten teens have had sex (Canyourel8.com). Boy Meets World shows teens that you don't have to have sex to have a happy and successful relationship. This television show provides an example to young viewers that a relationship should be about connecting with each other and not sex.
In this scene, Topanga and Cory have decided to spend the weekend together while Cory's college roommate (Shawn) is away. Cory assumes that because Topanga is staying the night all weekend, he will finally be able to have sex with her. Topanga on the other hand, wants to wait until her and Cory get married. Instead of having sex, Topanga plans to spend the weekend getting to know what it's like to live with Cory before their upcoming wedding. Cory is very disappointed to find out they're not going to be having sex. Although Cory is disappointed, Topanga stands her ground and shows young teens that a relationship is more than sex.

Cory's love for Topanga
In this scene, Topanga's parents have just moved away to Pittsburgh. Topanaga has run away from her new home and back to Cory's house. Cory's parents are trying to convince these two that they don't know what real love is and that Topanga shouldn't move away from her family to be with Cory. When Cory and Topanga fight back against this they say that they are in love. Cory's mom then says, "Okay Cory, you educate me. You tell me what love means to you." That is where this scene begins.
